The Red Line Big Twin PowerPack is engineered for riders who demand the highest level of protection for their American V-Twin. While standard oil kits provide basic lubrication, Red Line utilizes high-quality ester-based synthetics—the same technology used in jet engines—to handle the extreme temperatures of air-cooled Harleys. This kit is a complete 3-hole service in one box, designed to make your bike run cooler, shift smoother, and last longer.
Legendary Drivetrain Protection
The PowerPack stands out by providing specialized lubricants for every cavity of your Big Twin:
- 5 Quarts of V-Twin Motorcycle Oil: Fortified with high levels of anti-wear additives like zinc and phosphorus (ZDDP) to protect flat-tappet cams and high-load bearings.
- V-Twin Transmission Oil with ShockProof®: Known as “heavy pink gear oil,” this fluid uses unique microscopic solid particles to act as a liquid cushion, significantly reducing the “clunk” during shifting and protecting gears from high-impact shock loads.
- V-Twin Primary Case Oil: Specifically formulated to provide the high-friction environment required for wet clutches to grab firmly without slipping, while still providing excellent lubrication for the primary chain.
Added Performance and Convenience
Red Line goes beyond the oil pan by including their Complete Fuel System Cleaner for Powersports. This concentrated detergent removes carbon deposits from injectors, intake valves, and combustion chambers, restoring throttle response and fuel economy. The Choice Between 20W50 and 20W60
The PowerPack is available in two configurations to suit your environment and engine age:
- 20W50 PowerPack: The standard choice for most modern Evolution, Twin Cam, and Milwaukee-Eight engines operated in typical street conditions.
- 20W60 PowerPack: Specifically designed for Big Twins operated in extremely hot climates (like the desert Southwest) or for older engines with wider clearances (Knuckle, Pan, and Shovelheads) to help dampen valvetrain noise and maintain oil pressure.
Fitment and Tech Notes
Compatible with Harley-Davidson Big Twins from 1984 to present (Evolution, Twin Cam, and M8).
Note for 2007-Later Twin Cams: Models with 96-inch and larger Twin Cam engines require a 38 oz. primary capacity. You may need to purchase one additional bottle of Red Line Primary Case Oil to reach a full dry fill.
