Proudly Made in the USA, this rotor is engineered to solve the two biggest issues with factory braking systems: excessive weight and heat-induced warping. By utilizing a full-floating architecture and a lightweight billet aluminum carrier, Lyndall provides a braking experience that is smoother, quieter, and significantly more powerful than stock.
The Advantage of Reduced Unsprung Weight
The 9-spoke carrier is CNC-machined from aircraft-grade billet aluminum. This design drastically reduces the unsprung weight of your front wheel compared to heavy solid-steel rotors. Reducing weight at the wheel allows your suspension to track the road more effectively, improving overall handling, steering response, and comfort. It is one of the most effective performance upgrades you can make to your Twin Cam or Sportster front end.
Zero Pulse, Zero Warpage
Unlike fixed rotors that “cone” or warp when they get hot, the Lyndall Full-Floating design allows the outer friction ring to expand and contract independently of the hub. This ensures the rotor stays perfectly flat, even under extreme thermal stress. This eliminates the “pulsing” sensation at the brake lever and ensures that your pads maintain 100% surface contact for maximum stopping force at all times.
Precision 420 Stainless Steel
The outer friction ring is laser-cut from high-carbon 420 stainless steel, then heat-treated and double-disc ground to a mirror-like finish. This high-friction alloy provides a sharp initial bite and works harmoniously with any pad compound. However, to maximize rotor life and performance, Lyndall recommends pairing this rotor with their Gold-Plus or Z-Plus brake pads.
