For the majority of Harley-Davidson Big Twins produced between 2000 and 2014, the 11.5-inch front rotor was the foundation of the braking system. Over time, these rotors can thin out, warp, or develop deep grooves that compromise safety and lever feel. The Drag Specialties 11.5″ Drilled Stainless Steel Front Rotor is engineered to be the perfect replacement—offering better-than-OEM quality, enhanced thermal management, and a mirror-like finish that stays bright long after the stock units have dulled.
Advanced Material and Surface Precision
Each rotor is laser-cut from high-carbon 420 stainless steel, a material specifically chosen for its ability to withstand extreme heat cycles without losing its structural integrity. Unlike cheap replacements, this rotor is induction-hardened and diamond-ground to an exacting tolerance. This process ensures a perfectly parallel friction surface, which eliminates the annoying “lever pulse” and ensures that your brake pads seat quickly and evenly for maximum stopping power from the very first ride.

- Softail Models (2000–2014): Heritage Classic, Fat Boy, Night Train, Softail Slim, and Deluxe.
- Dyna Models (2000–2005): Super Glide, Low Rider, and Wide Glide.
- Touring Models (2000–2007): Road King, Street Glide, and Electra Glide (Dual-disc models require two).
- Note: Not for use on 2008-up Touring models which require 11.8″ (300mm) rotors.
Installation and Pad Recommendation
To maintain the high-luster stainless finish, Drag Specialties recommends using Organic or Semi-Sintered brake pads. These compounds provide a quiet, smooth stop and are less abrasive on the metal surface than full-sintered pads. When installing, always use new rotor bolts with blue thread-locker and clean the rotor thoroughly with brake cleaner to remove any protective oils before hitting the road.
