D3O® is a “smart” material that is flexible during normal movement but locks together instantly upon impact to absorb shock. The boot also features a reinforced shift pad made of TPU to protect the mesh from premature wear. Underneath, the Groundtrax® rubber outsole provides a stable, high-friction interface with your motorcycle’s footpegs. This sole is engineered with a specific compound and tread pattern to ensure it won’t slip on oily or wet pavement, while also providing a natural “roll” for walking once you’re off the bike.

The combination of laces and the top Velcro strap allows you to dial in the ankle support perfectly. We recommend tucking your laces under the Velcro strap to ensure they don’t get caught on your footpegs or chain. Fitment Note: The R04D Air fits true to size, similar to a standard athletic sneaker. If you are between sizes, the OrthoLite® insole provides enough support that staying with your usual size is typically the best choice. Maintenance Note: Because of the mesh construction, these boots can collect dust. We suggest using canned air or a soft brush to keep the mesh pores open. While these are not waterproof, the synthetic materials dry extremely fast if you do get caught in a light summer shower. Walking Note: These are among the most comfortable “on-to-off” bike boots we’ve tested, thanks to the EVA midsole which provides sneaker-like cushioning.
