More Plates, More Grip, More Control

Standard Harley clutches rely on roughly 9 friction plates. The Rekluse TorqDrive system utilizes up to 15 friction plates. This massive increase in surface area provides several key advantages:

• Increased Torque Capacity: It can handle high-horsepower builds (Stage IV and beyond) without the need for an impossibly stiff pressure plate spring.
• Lighter Lever Pull: Because the surface area does the heavy lifting, you can use lighter springs to achieve a “one-finger” clutch feel.
• Eliminated Fade: The thin-plate design allows for better oil flow and faster heat dissipation, preventing clutch “fade” during aggressive riding or in heavy traffic.

Rekluse Basket Sleeves

One of the most innovative features of the TorqDrive kit is the inclusion of Rekluse Basket Sleeves. These stainless steel inserts slide over the “fingers” of your stock clutch basket. They provide a smooth, hard surface for the plates to ride on, preventing the plates from “notching” the aluminum basket. This ensures that your clutch engagement remains silky smooth for the life of the motorcycle.

Friction Material and Construction

The kit features Rekluse’s proprietary friction material, designed specifically for the high-torque pulses of a V-Twin. The drive plates are constructed from hard-rolled steel, ensuring they remain perfectly flat under extreme thermal stress. This precision allows for a highly consistent “bite point,” giving the rider ultimate confidence during launches and downshifts.

This kit is a direct “drop-in” installation for:

• Softail: 1998–2017 models.
• Dyna: 1998–2017 models.
• Touring: 1998–2016 models.
• Actuation: Compatible with both cable and hydraulic clutch systems.
• Note: Not compatible with 2017-later Milwaukee-Eight Touring models or 2013-later CVO “Assist & Slip” clutches.
